Travel Alerts
Crisis24 Horizon alerts keep you informed of safety, security, and travel-related disruptions around the world. Make sure to set up email notifications for your travel destination/s and areas of interest so you stay informed of potential issues and can be proactive about your safety.
To add an Alert Notification Preference:
1. Once you have registered and logged into Crisis24 Horizon, click on your name in the top right corner and select Preferences.
2. Select Alerts from the Preferences menu on the left and click Add Alert Preference.
3. Fill in the fields according to your preferences.
• Preference Name: Choose a unique name for this alert preference. A descriptive name will help you locate it in the future if you decide to edit or delete the setting.
• Method of Delivery: Make sure Email is selected. Your email will autofill from what is listed under your profile settings.
• Duration: Set the duration you would like to receive alerts. It’s recommended to start receiving alerts at least two to four weeks before your trip so you are informed of any significant issues that may occur ahead of your trip.
Once you have selected the Country and Risk Rating, click Add, and then save. This will move that alert profile to the below list where you can select the frequency you will receive the alerts, as follows:
- • Severities: Select all the severity levels of alerts you want to receive: Informational, Caution, Warning, Critical. For full awareness, it is best to select all.• Categories: Select all the categories of alerts you want to receive. Unless you have a very specific need, it is best to select all.• Locations: Select the country, province, and/or city locations for which you want to receive notifications.
4. Once you have filled in the fields, click Submit to save your notification preference. You will now receive email notifications if any alerts are issued that meet your criteria.
Live – Alerts will be sent as they are published
Daily – Alerts will be sent daily if there are alerts to send
You can amend your profile at any point should you wish to change what alerts you wish to receive.
