Travel Cover changes for the 2018/19 indemnity year

UMAL is pleased to announce that with effect from 1st August we will be launching a new combined travel assistance service, replacing the medical and security assistance services currently provided by Intana Global and Control Risks respectively.

The new assistance service is operated by Global Response and offers a single point of contact for all emergencies, whether they are medical, security or travel related. This includes a dedicated phone number from which all response advice and services are provided. The contact details for Global Response are:

We appreciate that existing travellers will have been provided with the emergency contact details for Intana Global and Control Risks, so arrangements have been made for any calls or cases to be forwarded to Global Response. Ongoing cases or cases notified on or before 31st July will continue to be dealt with by Intana Global or Control Risks.

Please visit the Emergency Assistance page which provides the up to date contact details and support information effective from 1st August 2018.

There are a number of reasons that we feel this change will be beneficial to our Members.
